Regional WEA Coalitions Launch across NYS
On Thursday, April 4th in six cities across the state, regional coalitions consisting of business leaders, women’s organizations, religious leaders, and labor groups held press conferences to trumpet the enthusiastic support in their region for Governor Cuomo’s Women’s Equality Agenda. Events were held in Buffalo, Hudson, Mineola, Newburgh, Rochester and Schenectady, with more events planned for later in the month.

Announcing the NY Women's Equality Coaltion
At a press conference at the Capitol on Monday, March 4th, advocates launched the
New York Women’s Equality Coalition, comprised of more than 500 labor groups, business leaders, civil rights organizations, women’s groups, medical associations, and religious groups united in vigorous support of Governor Cuomo’s Women’s Equality Agenda.

Governor Cuomo Introduces "Women's Equality Agenda"
In his annual State of the State speech, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced his plans for the Women's Equality Agenda, a 10-point omnibus bill intended to break down barriers to women’s full participation in society and advance their health and well-being.
