NARAL Pro-Choice New York is a political and advocacy organization whose mission is to guarantee every woman the right to make personal decisions regarding the full range of reproductive choices, including preventing unintended pregnancy, bearing healthy children, and choosing legal abortion.  We work at the state and local level to pass proactive, pro-choice legislation and to defeat anti-choice initiatives.  Politically, we work to elect pro-choice officials and hold them accountable to our mission.  Our history of success and the relationships we’ve built give us unparalleled access to elected leaders and policy decision makers at the highest levels. NARAL Pro-Choice New York is the New York affiliate of NARAL Pro-Choice America.

The National Institute for Reproductive Health is the research and education arm of NARAL Pro-Choice New York, working with partners across the county. The National Institute for Reproductive Health is an innovation institute for state and local organizations working to promote reproductive health and protect women’s choices.  We offer strategic guidance, hands-on assistance, and seed funding to help state and local leaders remove barriers to care, win public battles, and change public policy.   Together, we are helping women all across the country gain access to the full range of quality reproductive health care options, the freedom to exercise their reproductive rights, and the opportunity to have healthy pregnancies.

The partnership between NARAL Pro-Choice New York and the National Institute for Reproductive Health reflects our belief that being based in New York gives us both a unique opportunity and a serious obligation. The opportunity is to make this city and this state shining examples of what it means to protect and prioritize women’s reproductive health and rights. The obligation is to support and collaborate with advocates in other cities and other states so that they can not only stem the tide of anti-choice encroachments, but begin to build a better future for the women and families in their communities.
