Letter: Abortion, Insurance and Health Care Reform

Posted: 11/28/2009

November 28, 2009, The New York Times

Letter: Abortion, Insurance and Health Care Reform

Abstract: In a Letter to the Editor, Mary Alice Carr, NARAL Pro-Choice New York's Vice President for Communications, respondes to Phillip B. Levine’s op-ed “False Alarm on Abortion." Carr says that Levine's argument that we shouldn’t worry if middle-income women lose abortion coverage in health care reform because they seek abortions less often than their low-income counterparts and can afford to pay out of pocket is dismissive and insulting.
