Mayor Bloomberg Honored as Champion of Choice - Announces $3 Million for EC and Pregnancy Prevention

On Thursday, April 21st, NARAL Pro-Choice New York honored Mayor Bloomberg as our "2005 Champion of Choice" at our annual luncheon.

The mayor was recognized for his leadership in implementing and improving abortion training for medical residents in New York City hospitals, an idea concieved by this organization.

The Mayor took the opportunity to announce a major funding stream for EC outreach and education, one of the first in the nation.
